Transport, Directions & Travel in French A1

Good to know

• Use « en » when you are inside the vehicle (en voiture, en train) and « à » when you ride on it or walk (à vélo, à pied).
• « Le car » is a coach. A car is « la voiture ».
• « Visiter » is only for places. To visit a person, French says « rendre visite à ».
• Use « billet » for train and plane tickets, « ticket » for the bus and the metro.
