Good to know

• In France you often have to « valider » (validate) your bus or tram ticket when you get on, or you can get « une amende ».
• « Faire le plein » is to fill up the tank. « Mettre de l'essence » is to put some fuel in.
• French motorways usually have tolls: « le péage ».
