Good to know

• « Le plan » is a city map, « la carte » a map of a region or country.
• « De » + « le » becomes « du »: « à côté du musée » (next to the museum), « en face du parc » (opposite the park).
• « Le centre-ville » is the town center, and « la place » is a square, not a “place” in general (that's « l'endroit »).
