Good to know
- Many shop names end in -erie and come from what they sell: « la poissonnerie » (le poisson), « la fromagerie » (le fromage).
- « Faire les courses » is grocery shopping. « Faire les magasins » is going shopping for clothes or gifts.
- « C'est à qui ? » (Who's next?) is what you hear when it's your turn in a queue.
